The Entrance Band
The Entrance Band
The name, The Entrance Band, can conjure images of secret entryways, or it can represent the feeling of being dazzled and delighted – quite literally, to be put into a trance. The music made by The Entrance Band can awaken either definition, and countless other dimensions as well.

Since first collaborating together on the 2006 album Prayer of Death, guitarist/vocalist Guy Blakeslee, bassist Paz Lenchantin and drummer Derek James have breathed continued life into the sound of The Entrance Band. That energy has translated into a catalog of recorded expression and an unassailable reputation for offering one of the most intuitively-interconnected live performances on the planet.

These memorable melodies and their near-telekinetic musical kinship are found in full flower on Face the Sun – certainly the band’s most compelling collection of songs to date. Their first full-length in four years, it is an album built firmly upon notable transformations experienced by all three band members. Face the Sun is a rare and remarkable collection of songs that recognizes and honors both sides of the journey toward the light.
Heron Oblivion
Heron Oblivion
San Francisco’s Heron Oblivion is the new group featuring Meg Baird (Espers), Noel Von Harmonson (Comets on Fire, Six Organs of Admittance, Sic Alps, The Lowdown), Ethan Miller (Comets on Fire, Howlin’ Rain, Feral Ohms), and Charlie Saufley (Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound).

Heron Oblivion’s origins date to 2013 in SF’s Bayview district, where its four members– fueled by a love of 60s/70s scuzz and commune jams, folk rock, noise, and P.S.F. Japanese underground—would get together for what Miller describes as “blistering, extended free jam sessions.” The four musicians realized that their initial chemistry (which was strong from the outset) was undeniable and it’s vision unified. Heron Oblivion was born.

Ultimately, Heron Oblivion fused song craft to its improvisational leanings. What materialized is a mesmeric compilation of English folk rock and earthy West Coast psychedelia spiked with feedback and explosive dissonant elements. The sum of these elements will make up their Sub Pop debut, due out spring 2016.
3 Leafs
3 Leafs
3 Leafs is a music collective based largely in spontaneous composition. We have been playing around the bay area and west coast since 2005 and have 8 releases available: Space Rock Tulip (lp), Eat the Earth (cdr), Titular Lines (cdr), Canal Smarts(lp), SPAA(cdr), En Super Forme(cdr), Live at Cafe du Nord(cassette) and Technical Death Metal Parking Lot(cassette). Look for a new 10" vinyl ep and a new full length vinyl release in winter/spring 2013.

We've been a band since 1972. Through our camaraderie and shared love of adventure, we have maintained the band for 41 years.
