Margareth Menezes
Margareth Menezes
Margareth Menezes is a Brazilian singer from Salvador, Bahia.

Her style is considered axé but her music also steers into samba and MPB territory, also drawing on African rhythms and reggae at times.

Menezes is best known in Brazil for her song "Me Abraça e Me Beija", a major hit in 1990. She also scored another hit with "Dandalunda", a song which became the unofficial anthem of the 2003 Salvador carnival.

Menezes has achieved superstardom in her native Bahia but only moderate success in wider Brazil. She is famed for her energetic live performances and regularly tours and performs at carnival celebrations.
DJ Elan Kamesar
DJ Elan is a native of San Francisco but his coração is definitely Brazilian. He's made frequent pilgrimages to Brazil over the past 15 years digging for records everywhere from São Paulo to the backwaters in the Amazon, and his collection is nothing short of World class. He is one of the founding members of the BRAZA! crew and it has always been the perfect showcase for his tasty selections from the land of samba e futebol. Expect to dance to deep rare grooves, classic samba rhythms and contemporary Brazilian flavored remixes.
Antonio Guedes
Antonio Guedes
Antonio Guedes is one of the mastermind behind BRAZA!, a celebration of the heritage of the Brazilian music. Him and his crew have produced events for over 7 years in San Francisco, and made some tropical history in the Bay. Names like: Nu-Mark (Jurassic Five), Spinna (BBE / Rawkus Records), DJ Nuts (Marcelo D2), Maga Bo (Tru Thoughts), Marcelinho da Lua (Bossacucanova), LEFTO (Blue Note), and so many other remarkable artists, took control of BRAZA!’s console in an unprecedented fashion, bringing forward Brazilian/Latin flavored sets exclusively picked for the occasion. In addition to that, the party was voted Hottest SF Party, by SF Weekly readers, and it was the official music production company for the Macy’s Brasil Flower Festival, in 2012.
